Depth of Field

This weeks winning image was submitted by Travis Ringstaff. The assignment was Depth of Field. This particular assignment was one of the favorites. We had some great images turned in. Travis shot this particular image of his foosball table, which he purchased at the Samaritan Center. Of all the foosball guys, he singled out the one with the chubby cheeks.

Dramatic Angles

This week's assignment was dramatic angles. It's really neat to see the images you can create by looking at every-day normal things from a different angle. Once again we had a tie between two photographs in the class vote. Lots of great images were turned in, and of course it's exciting to see the improvement that has taken place from the first assigmnet to this one.

Getting to know your camera

The first assignment of the semester was simply to get to know your camera. Go out and shoot a roll of film, come back and process and develope it, and turn in one 8x10 print. I was thrilled by the number of high quality prints that were turned in. The two that stood out in the class vote were these:
